GOLF COACH

Position Details

Full-Time

The Golf Coach coordinates general business activities and the needs of UGP’s clients through courteous, professional conduct including the use of well-planned golf practice programming, effective sessions, and golf assessments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Conducts exploratory and in-depth interviews on a client’s history, motivation, and goals

  • Develops and executes a relevant unique development program, based on assessment results

  • Collaborates with other golf and fitness coaches to best serve the clients’ golf and personal development before, during, and after coaching sessions

  • Creates a 5-star customer experience by going above and beyond for each client and anticipating their needs

  • Facilitates a Development Plan to improve overall health, golf ability, physical fitness, and mobility

  • Completes the necessary Checklist each day (e.g. Opening and/or Closing duties)

  • Reports to the Head Coach weekly for performance updates

  • Keeps records and is aware of Key Performance Indicators bi-weekly (Coaching Report)

  • Successfully utilizes in-house resources to complete projects or tasks as necessary

  • Confidently gives a high-quality tour at any time and demonstrates the ability to close the sale

  • Shows proficiency in usage of MINDBODY, CoachNow, Swing Catalyst, Trackman, and Crew in addition to any other software used

  • Uses CoachNow to provide off-site exercise videos to clients following sessions

  • Greets all clients and refers to them by name to create the UGP experience

  • Completes necessary administrative duties to follow-up with clients, communicate with team members, and develop fitness plans

  • Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance at all times while showing commitment to the UGP Mission, Vision, and Core Values

  • Answers phones, books appointments in a timely manner, and manges personal schedule on MINDBODY

  • Demonstrates effectiveness in client retention

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University

  • Golf Instructor Certification and/or PGA experience a plus

  • 1-2 Years of related experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Positive, enthusiastic personality

While performing the duties of this position, the Golf Coach is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, and engage in exercise. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
