The Inaugural UGP 2-Player Invitational was successfully held at Santa Ana Country Club last Monday. It was an event that brought our community together in a competitive and fun environment, making memories through the game we love.

Upon arrival, players received a custom UGP x Vessel Sunday 2.0 bag and a gift bag including a Therabody Wave Duo, Rokform $100 Gift Card, and the newest edition of The Golfer's Journal, alongside a UGP hat, shirt, and towel.

Players fueled up at the breakfast station featuring a Bloody Mary Bar, was stretched out by our Recovery staff, and warmed up on the range and putting green before heading out to the course for a shotgun start.

The course was in top condition with the undulated greens rolling at a 12, providing a challenging but exciting round for the competing teams.

It was a great feeling for our staff to see our amazing UGP members enjoying the game while utilizing the skills they've worked so hard at in each of our facilities. We saw incredible performance from many players, inspiring us to continue doing what we do at UGP.

The top 5 teams from each Gross and Net categories qualified for the Horserace, competing to win a cash prize of $2,400. The alternate shot format and the crowd of all the other competitors made it a great test to perform under pressure.

Team Marco Morales and Paul Chaplet came out on top of this fierce competition and took home the prize.

The winning teams of both the Gross and Net categories faced a card-off to break the tie.

Team Matt Carreon and Jake Williams were the Gross winners, with a team score of 59 (-13) featuring one eagle, 11 birdies, and six pars throughout the day.

The duo each won a set of custom Miura irons and an iron fitting at UGP.

Team Jeff Whitten and Eric Gordon were the Net winners, with a team score of 57 (-15) featuring five eagles, six birdies, six pars, and one bogey for the day.

The team won a round of golf at the Top 100 ranked Preserve Golf Club in Carmel and one night lodging at the exclusive Hacienda at the Santa Lucia Preserve.

We hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did and thank you for joining us at the Inaugural UGP 2-Player Invitational.

Finally, we want to thank our UGP team, community, and SACC staff for making this event possible. We look forward to returning next year!
