Isaiah Salinda Shines Bright at the Mexico Open with Solo Third
UGP TOUR was well represented at the Mexico Open in Puerto Vallarta, with five of our athletes in the field. Isaiah Salinda stood out with a stellar performance, climbing four spots on the final day to secure an impressive solo third-place finish at -19 under to wrap up the PGA tour results last week.
Isaiah Salinda, a South San Francisco native and Stanford alum, turned pro in 2019 after earning full status on PGA Tour Canada. He captured his first professional win at the 2024 Panama Championship with a dominant 12-under, eight-stroke victory—the fourth-largest margin in Korn Ferry Tour history. With his T3 finish at this year’s Mexico Open, he’s a rising talent on the PGA Tour.
Allisen Corpuz led the charge at the Honda LPGA Thailand with a T7 finish, highlighted by an outstanding final round of 64. Andrea Lee and Lilia Vu followed closely behind, making it a successful event and a highlight in the LPGA results last week, with all UGP TOUR athletes in the field making the cut.
Next, UGP TOUR heads to Palm Beach, Florida for the Cognizant Classic while the LPGA Tour travels to Singapore for the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
